The Approach

Asset-Based.

Disabilities are not problems to be fixed. Doing things β€œfor” students is ineffective. The student is at the forefront of everything: as a collaborator and participant in their goal setting and skill development.

Wraparound and Customized.

Services for students and families must be individually tailored.

Builds key skills and self-knowledge.

The student should be involved in the entire IEP process and receive explicit instruction about their own cognitive profile, life skills, and self-advocacy.
